Murphy would love the task himself but, at 73, says he is too onetime. He has handed the task of leading walks to the island to younger legs, in the shape of Ben Pinder, merely he still intends to be on Piel telling its stories.
"I absolutely admire Piel Isle, I adore its isolation. I also love the fact that Barrow still is an industrial town and all the same we take this gorgeous, isolated island within spitting altitude."
