What'due south New

Version 1.12.two

Version 1.12.2:

This update improves an open in Apollo result, also as a few other pocket-sized issues.

Version 1.12.one:

Here'due south an update with some handy bug fixes and improvements based on smashing feedback from the Christmas update. Read on!

+ A new, really absurd icon from Yannick Lung. It's of the Apollo mascot in an old school scuba adapt by the incredible Yannick Lung, and I love how the details really make it feel like an icon from a nostalgic era of fourth dimension passed. Have been enjoying it a lot on the ol' home screen.
+ Improvements to table rendering. Thanks y'all for sending in some cracking examples of tables that (alongside Apollo's new inline table renderer) weren't quite displaying properly, so I've tidied those all up so they should brandish gorgeously at present.
+ Also tweaked layout algorithm a bit so that some tables that were a bit cramped should brandish nicer now.
+ Fixed bug where the "Quote" option in "Select Text" way and in the comment composer wouldn't show up.
+ Stock-still bug where the subscriber count and number of currently active accounts wasn't showing up in the sidebar (and also added the short subreddit description to the top of it).
+ Stock-still problems where some links wouldn't exist tappable or only the subreddit/user part would be if it was a Reddit link.
+ Fixed a bug where tapping on some user or subreddit links could jump you into the browser/out of Apollo rather than staying in the app (same with Wikipedia links, fixed likewise).
+ Stock-still bug where preview text (like for a text post in a subreddit, or underneath an Inbox item) was too nighttime, made it a scrap lighter like before so as to blend in better
+ Stock-still a problems with some escaped Markdown characters and those inside code blocks.
+ Fixed a problems around newlines/line breaks in Markdown.
+ Fixed a bug where sometimes you could get a duplicate notification.
+ Fixed problems where text in individual messages could exist visually hard to read due to low dissimilarity.
+ If yous tap on a link to u/me, information technology'll properly load your profile now.
+ Added option in Settings tab > General to share Reddit links as their "old.reddit" version.
+ Fixed bug where Apollo was mean to usernames with hyphens in them.
+ Fixed bug where when comments loaded self text could refresh/flash in a non-cool way.
+ Fixed bug where couldn't select the title of the mail service in "Select Text" style.
+ If you tap on a timestamped YouTube video it volition now open to that time.
+ Limits comment link previews to five.
+ Stock-still problems where subreddit rules could get cut off at the top slightly.
+ Flattened big groups of newlines in a annotate/mail into just 2.
+ Fixed problems where code blocks could get cut off at the bottom.
+ Fixed bug where widgets would non show up on iOS xiv.
+ A fix for a crash that could occur on iOS 12 devices. Really sorry near that one, strange bug that was only everything should be in tip acme shape at present. As a annotation, after this update (ane.12.1) Apollo will likely require iOS 14 and higher for further updates. Yous'll yet be able to run Apollo on iOS 12 and 13 just as yous were earlier, only new updates will require iOS xiv and higher. Statistically very few Apollo users are still on these older versions (well under 1% of users) and the work to maintain these older versions and put off using nice, newer iOS features in full (SwiftUI, SceneDelegate, Combine, Swift Concurrency, etc.) is beginning to go a bit tough to maintain given the small userbase (and I'one thousand just ane person building this app), so I figure now's a good a fourth dimension every bit for iOS xiv to become the base of operations. Hope that's understandable.

Hope these first ii weeks of 2022 have served you well, and if non, well I endeavour to make the residual happier through Apollo updates!

Absolutely Stellar App, Developer is 🔥

Apollo is by far the nearly-used app on my telephone (and now I take the ScreenTime reports to prove information technology). Information technology is orders of magnitude better than the "official" reddit app and is superior in every mode. It is fast and smooth and packed with features. I especially beloved that I can option the theme I desire, modify the icon, and remove ads! The thing I hated most nigh the official app was the ads that were bearded every bit legitimate posts and with Apollo that's all gone!

I bought the Pro upgrade months ago to gain access to boosted features and it was 1 of the few in-app purchases I have never regretted or felt like wasn't worth the price. Today the developer released an update adding a bunch of new features that require a very reasonable (seems underpriced to be honest) monthly subscription, and like a true bro he has the option to unlock information technology for life with a erstwhile purchase! I hate monthly and fifty-fifty yearly subscriptions and so I peculiarly appreciated this pick.

All that past itself should convince you that this app is worth information technology, merely the matter that really seals the deal is the developer. He is amazing. Super active with feedback and very open in his communication nearly the status of the app's development and requested features.

Fantastic Reddit client for iPhone

From first use, this app is a joy to use. It integrates incredibly well with the rest of iOS. The default settings are more often than not intuitive (particularly for first time users) and for those places where the app doesn't exercise what yous wait, the available options are extensive.

What prompted me to write this review was actually a feature of the Ultra subscription (also bachelor as a one time purchase). I'd put off purchasing Ultra for a while, every bit the biggest describe to me was the message/reply notifications just I however used Narwhal for that. I recently subscribed to back up the developer, and got my outset notification. It's smashing, it feels like an iMessage notification with a quick reply sheet opening up so I can respond with the easy choice to open up the full app equally well.

The one limitation I encounter with this app is the iPad interface. It is not also thought out every bit the iPhone interface; it'south basically a scaled upwardly version of the iPhone interface. Merely every bit an iPhone app, this is the best Reddit client I've used (I even adopt it over the former and new website on a "real" calculator).
